I swum with at least 8 (I counted) whale sharks for about 1 hour, the skipper from his vantage point on the bridge counted 10. The group seemed to consist a range of ages from babies to juveniles and adults, smallest at 3m, largest (a female I think) at 12m. I have no idea of the depth as it was in open sea
