Though I do not have the GPS coordinates, we encountered this whale shark (swimming with two other whale sharks) not far off the coast near the Vermilion Sea Field Station. In case this information helps as well--we do not know for sure, but our panga driver estimated that this particular whale shark was approximately 30 feet long (and thought the whale shark may be a female). We would love to hear any additional information that you may be able to determine from these photos. Please feel free to contact me if you need more photos. (In case this would be useful--I have a video as well.) Perhaps some of my other classmates, who were in different panga boats, were able to photograph the other two whale sharks. I can check!
